Governance, on the other hand, refers to the processes, policies, and practices through which authority is exercised and public affairs are managed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"399\" data-end=\"720\">In India, the political system is based on the principles of democracy, rule of law, federalism, and separation of powers as established by the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Constitution of India<\/span><\/span>. The Constitution provides the framework for political institutions and ensures the protection of fundamental rights and democratic values.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"725\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1x0eu7j\" data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"755\">The Constitution of India<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"947\">The <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Constitution of India<\/span><\/span> is the supreme law of the country.
